Take a note of your current settings when setting up the controller, so you have a record if you need to disable Havenwise in the future.
There are two ways to enter Service mode, depending on your controller model. Check which one matches your controller before you start:
Older controller with physical arrow buttons and a password prompt → use "Part A" below.
Newer touchscreen controller showing "Zone" and "DHW" temperatures on the home screen, with no password prompt → scroll down to "Newer touchscreen controllers: entering Service mode".
Option 1 – Older controller with physical arrow buttons
Part A
1. Enter Service mode
2. Enter the password
Enter the password. The default password is 0202
3. Select Field Setting Value
Select “Field Setting Value”
4. Select the Water Law section
Select “20** | Water Law" section
5. Select FSV 2091
Select “2091 | External thermostat application”
6. Set to Not Use
Set to “Not Use”
Now repeat the above steps for FSV 2092 using the images as a guiding reference.
Part B: Allow the Samsung heat pump to operate in a fixed flow temperature mode
From the installer menu, select “Indoor Zone Option”.
Select “Standard temperature”
Set to “water outlet”
Part C: Set the Samsung heat pump to operate in a fixed flow temperature mode
Make sure that the heating is enabled on the home screen. If it says “OFF”, press the On / power button
Press the OK button to enter the heating menu
Once you are in the heating menu, ensure the fields at the bottom of the screen say “Heat” (on the bottom left) and “Water outlet” (on the bottom right)
If they don’t say this, press the OK button and select “Heat”
Navigate to the right, press the OK button and select “Water Outlet”
Use the arrows and OK button to select the zone temperature on the left, then use the up and down arrows to set a flow temperature of 37°C. Don’t worry, that is not the room temperature and our algorithms will overwrite this.
If you can't set a flow temperature of 37°C now, it is not a problem - when you activate Havenwise, we will very soon send our first commands to the controller anyway and overwrite this setting appropriately.
Part D: Remove heating and hot water schedules
Please remove any schedules you have for heating and hot water on the Samsung controller and Samsung SmartThings app. To do this on the controller, follow these steps:
Click the cog on the controller
Select Schedules
Remove all schedules
Option 2 – Newer touchscreen controller
If your controller looks like the screenshots below (a touch panel with "Zone" and "DHW" temperatures on the home screen), follow these steps instead of the password method above.
1. Enter Service mode
From the home screen, tap the house icon (top right) to open settings, then tap the arrow to open "Service information".
On the Service information screen, tap "Customer service contact" repeatedly in quick succession. Samsung's manual says this takes 10-15 taps, but in practice it typically takes closer to 15-20 taps before the Service mode menu opens - keep tapping until it does.
2. Open Heat pump options
Tap heat pump options
3. Select the thermostat settings
Scroll down and select "Using the thermostat (2091,2092)".
4. Set both thermostats to Not used
Set both "Thermostat #1 UFHs (2091)" and "Thermostat #2 FCUs (2092)" toggles to off (grey) - this is what sets them to "Not used".
Part B: Allow the Samsung heat pump to operate in a fixed flow temperature mode
On the main controller screen, tap the home icon in the top right corner and open setting
Tap Heat pump and then Standard temperature.
Choose Water outlet (rather than Indoor temperature) and press Apply to save.
Part C: Set the Samsung heat pump to operate in a fixed flow temperature mode
On the Home screen, make sure heating is on. If the zone shows OFF, tap the power button.
Tap Zone 1 on the Home screen to open the zone page.
Select Heat mode, not Auto.
On the zone page, tap Temp and scroll up or down to set the flow temperature to 37c
Part D: Remove heating and hot water schedules
