Your heat pump needs to be connected to the internet for Havenwise to effectively work.
How to know if your heat pump is connected to the internet
Your installer told you your heat pump is WiFi connected. This one is quite simple - if you know, you know!
You already use an app from the heat pump manufacturer. That's SmartThings for Samsung, Melcloud for Mitsubishi or myVaillant for Vaillant.
A "WiFi gateway" was installed by your installer. It's worth looking around the indoor area where most of the heat pump equipment has been installed. A quick Google search with the brand of your heat pump and "WiFi gateway" will show you what you're looking for.
If any of these are true, your heat pump is likely connected to the internet and you're ready to set up Havenwise. Download the Havenwise app and follow the instructions to do the setup.
Note: Samsung heat pump controllers can show that WiFi is enabled in the settings, even if a WiFi gateway hasn't been installed.
I have a heat pump WiFi gateway, but I think my heat pump isn't connected to the internet.
In this case, you may have a WiFi gateway that isn't configured yet. Set-up instructions can vary from manufacturer to manufacturer and model to model. Use your model make and model number to identify the correct set up instructions from your respective manufacturers website, or reach out to your installer.
I don't have a heat pump WiFi gateway and I don't think my heat pump is connected to the internet.
In this case, it's best to get in touch with your installer. They can let you know what equipment they installed originally, and help you get the right kit to get you online. When you're connected to the internet, Havenwise is here to get you optimised.
