To see your heat pump running costs, visit the Performance stats page in our app.

Here you'll find daily cost estimates for your heat pump, alongside Weekly CoP (efficiency) figures and energy usage breakdowns for heating and hot water

How and when does the Performance stats page update?

The page updates once a day at about 1700 UTC (1700 GMT/1800 BST)

How is the effective tariff calculated?

Havenwise estimates your effective tariff from when and how hard your heat pump has been running, and how much it cost to run at that time. It is the total cost of energy/total energy consumed

Note that the first day you connect to Havenwise this value will be wrong, because this is a partial day of data and we can't know for sure what time of day the heat pump ran. All subsequent days will be fine.

Note: If you have a Samsung heat pump, CoP data won't appear in the app - you can find this information on your heat pump controller instead.

I have solar and a battery - how does Havenwise work out my costs?

If you have solar and a battery, your cost estimates in the app will likely be inaccurate. This is because while we know how much electricity your heat pump uses, we don't know where this electricity comes from. As a practice, we assume that all electricity is supplied by the grid at the time it is used. If you have cheaper electricity from your solar or battery, your costs may therefore be overestimated. We understand this is not ideal and are working on improving this in future versions of our app.
