When you activate holiday mode for heating on the Havenwise app, we automatically set your target temperature to 16c. This means your home only heats when the temperature drops below 16c, helping save you money without the house getting too cold while you're away.

You might find that 16c is too low or high of a holiday mode temperature. You can change this easily in the Havenwise app with the following steps:

If you're not sure, we suggest you stick with our default value of 16c. It's enough to keep your house from cooling down too much while also ensuring you save on your bills

It's not good to set your holiday mode temperature to less than 10c. Cold temperatures can cause excessive condensation, dampness, and mould growth, which can damage your home and possessions. In winter, freezing temperatures can lead to burst pipes and broken windows. Heat pumps are vey efficient at maintaining moderate temperatures, so a holiday mode temperature of 10c-18c is a good idea.
