How do I set and change my tariff connected to Havenwise?

Where to set and edit the tariff that is linked to your Havenwise account, that will be used for optimisation and cost calculations

We are currently migrating to a new tariff service. This is a phased roll out for existing users first, happening in stages.

If you're a new user and your tariff isn't currently supported, please reach out to the Havenwise team and we can give you early access

Setting and changing your tariff (old system)

Open Havenwise app > go to Home > tap "User Profile" > Under "Optimisations", tap the name of your current tariff > Choose a new tariff on the following screen

There's two known issues when connecting a tariff via the new system:

1) Sometimes the back button doesn't work. If you need to go back to edit something, but can't, then complete and save with any tariff, then click the edit button.

2) Rarely, if you have a time-of-use tariff with a provider that doesn't support logging in, you won't be able to manually enter the tariff. In this scenario, we recommend exiting the flow and remaining on the old tariff system for now.

Requirements:

  • You must be on app version v1.1.2 or later

  • You must be on the mobile app

  • You must have been included in the roll out of the new system

Tip: Have your energy supplier online account login details ready just in-case. We recommend this connection method if it is offered.

Steps:

  1. Open the Havenwise app and refresh the home page by leaving and returning to it.

  2. Tap the blue alert at the top of the page that invites you to use the new tariff integration

  3. Follow the steps on the screen to complete the migration to the new system

We are moving to the new system because it has far more comprehensive cover of tariffs in the UK (and Europe!), including regional variations. This gives you the most accurate estimations of cost possible.

If you stay with your provider when swapping tariff on this new system, you do not need to tell Havenwise. Our systems will update automatically.

This is particularly helpful for those of you who like to swap between Octopus Agile and Cosy, for example!
