This guide explains how you set up Havenwise for a Daikin heat pump. Before starting Havenwise setup, make sure your heat pump is connected to the Daikin Onecta app. Then follow the instructions below.

Open the Havenwise app and create an account
Select Daikin as your manufacturer
Tap 'Connect with Daikin' to enter your Daikin Onecta email and password, and connect your heat pump to Havenwise
Enter your Daikin email and password, and log in

Select your tariff and whether you would like to use
Tell us if your house has solar or batteries
Tell us how you currently control your heat pump
Tell us if you have any third-party thermostats like Heatmiser, Hive, Honeywell or others.

Note: Setting your schedule on Havenwise might be different to how you have set schedules in the past. Read here to learn about how to set a good heating or hot water schedule:

2. Set any third-party thermostats to act as temperature limiters
It’s important to do this to maximise Havenwise’s efficiency. Any third-party thermostats should be set to 1-2c above the schedule to allow heat to flow to where it is needed. But don’t worry - the thermostats will no longer call for heat, and we’ll keep your room temperature at the scheduled temperature.
Step 4: Connect a Shelly temperature sensor (only if required)

If we can't get room temperature data from your heat pump, you may need to connect a Shelly thermostat. The app will tell you if you need one. If you're in any doubt, please contact support via the blue button in app.

Launch Havenwise control. Havenwise will begin optimising your heating and hot water to maximise your efficiency and minimise your bills.
From now on, you should not use the Daikin app to control your heating and disregard anything that looks different in the Daikin app.
We will set your schedules to 25c to stop it interfering with Havenwise optimisation, but don't worry - we're not actually trying to hit this temperature. We monitor and control your room temperature independent of the Daikin controls.
